I think this is the appropriate time to write a new journal. The last one is ancient.

Shivers, sneezes, temperature, It's all there. I'm pretty sure it's not Swine Flu, though. At least I hope it's not. I did get to stay home from school two days, though ^^ So I finally had the chance to work on my comic again. I'll probably put it on here in some time. I'm also working on some reference-sheets of the characters, so I suppose you'll see those soon enough.

Christmas is coming. But here in Holland, we celebrate sinterklaas first. For those who don't know what that is: Sinterklaas is a old man who visits us from spain every year, together with his helpers, de zwarte pieten, to bring the children presents. Through the night of 5 december, he'd go across the roofs of our houses on his horse to throw the presents down our chimneys. That is... if you believe the story. Of course it's secretly the parents that put the presents there when the children are sleeping.
I don't like this holiday. The whole of Holland suddenly has this rush to buy toys, but neither do people want to spend to much money on it. The result: A cheap holiday that is awesome if you're 6 years old, but not so much after that. There's also no hidden meaning what-so-ever in this holiday. It's just giving and receiving presents. PLus the whole commercial riff-raff around it.

I like christmas, though. Not the "Santa is coming"- kind of Christmas. But the traditional kind.
